Pakistan textile industry has long been recognized for its quality, competitiveness, and ability to satisfy the changing demands of the global marketplace.

He emphasized the importance of the Pakistani textile industry presence at the expo, stating that it reflected the country rich textile legacy as well as its commitment to innovation and quality.

Pakistan textile industry has emerged as a leading exporter, generating $1.9 billion in monthly exports, consolidating its position as the largest industry in the country, the consul general of Pakistan said.

"Pakistani textiles are well-known for their competitive pricing, making them an appealing choice for purchasers looking for high-quality products at reasonable prices. This competitiveness is supported by the country skilled labor force, efficient industrial processes, and robust supply chain network."

He also discussed Pakistan and China developing textile trade collaboration, highlighting Chinese investment in Pakistan, technological know-how sharing, and Pakistan desire to learn from China innovation and leadership skills. He also highlighted the potential applications of artificial intelligence in the textile business.

Furthermore, the consul general highlighted the importance of exhibits such as Yarn Expo and Intertextile Shanghai in promoting trade and cooperation between Pakistan and China. He stated that such platforms provide fantastic opportunity for Pakistani businesses to network with industry peers, explore commercial prospects, learn new trends, increase exports, and build their worldwide footprint.

With China announcing additional measures to increase its imports and providing a significant boost to Pakistan textile exports, which now enjoy zero tariff treatment under the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement Phase 2, Mohsin Khan of Reliance Weaving Mills Ltd saw a significant opportunity for Pakistani textiles to capture a larger share of the market.
