Bharat Textile Exhibition Set to Become a Yearly Tradition, Affirms AEPC Chief

Amidst the grandiloquent showcase of textile prowess, the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) revealed the unveiling of 63 pivotal agreements at the highly-debated exposition.

The colossal textile spectacle, christened Bharat Tex 2024, is poised to transform into an annual extravaganza, as articulated by AEPC Chairman Sudhir Sekhri. The inaugural event, culminating last week, saw an impressive confluence of over 3,500 exhibitors and 3,000 buyers hailing from 111 diverse countries, as affirmed by AEPC on Sunday.

AEPC further disclosed that the epochal expo witnessed the forging of 63 agreements with international institutions, with a pronounced emphasis on collaborative efforts in realms such as research, innovation, entrepreneurship, new product genesis, skilling, and sustainability.

"The Bharat Tex expo is slated to be a perennial affair," asserted Chairman Sudhir Sekhri in an official statement.

The inauguration of this momentous exposition, transpiring on February 26, was dignified by the presence of the Prime Minister.

Chairman Sekhri expounded on the industry's commitment to imbibe sustainable production practices, deeming it instrumental in elevating the sector's competitive standing on the global stage. He elucidated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's directive, encapsulated in the 5F framework - Farm to Fiber, Fiber to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign - will invigorate the textiles export landscape.
