The 10th Textile Show Fair, organized in Bursa with the aim of strengthening the exports of the textile industry.
Bursa Textile Show, one of the most important meetings of the textile industry in Turkey, opened its doors for the 10th time. At the fair, where a total of 180 companies opened stands, new trade bridges are established and new fashions and trends in the sector are determined.
Bursa Textile Show, organized under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), continues to strengthen the external volume of the textile industry. At the fair, which was held with the participation of approximately 180 companies with stands, the companies presented their 2023-2024 autumn and winter clothing fabric collections to the visitors. Important buyers from abroad came to Bursa for cooperation at the fair, which was held in 4 halls and a total area of 10 thousand square meters at Bursa International Fair and Congress Center. Bursa Textile Show also hosts many innovations with its trend areas and seminars.
Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, in his speech at the opening of the fair, said that fairs have a great share in introducing new products, improving the trade of the sector and getting out of the bottleneck.
Governor Demirtaş stated that Turkey textile exports reached 10 billion dollars, with 830 million dollars of this total covered by Bursa. Bursa ranks number one in the textile industry, and we believe it will continue to be a strong center in the future. Governor Demirtaş urged all our entrepreneurs to focus on producing higher-quality products with greater economic value.
BTSO Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors İsmail Kuş also stated that the Bursa brand continues to have a say in the world in the textile industry.
Stating that they organized the 10th organization in the textile sector, Kuş said, "We have approximately 180 companies at the fair. Together with our company that opened a stand, we, as BTSO, host around 300 buyers from 51 countries at the textile fair with the contributions of our Ur-Ge projects. Including those who came with their own means, the fair attracted approximately 2 thousand foreign buyers. We are waiting for you to visit us. We believe that this organization will make a significant contribution to our companies, our sector and the economy of Bursa." he said.
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş stated that every new fair is a new excitement and thanked BTSO for bringing an important organization such as Bursa Textile Show to the city.
Pointing out that this fair is a serious gain for the city, Aktaş said, "Our companies will determine the new developments in the sector by meeting with guests from different countries here. Our industrialists have put their signature to a very nice organization. A nice synergy has been created with Ur-Ge supports. The environment is very good and the trade is very good."
