Pakistani Textile Success: Showcased at Shanghai Expo

Eighteen companies exhibit latest products, innovative technologies at Shanghai expo

Pakistani textile producers made a good impression during the Yarn Expo Spring 2024 and Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics-Spring Edition 2024 exhibitions, held in Shanghai, China from March 6-8.

The Pakistani contingent, which represented a varied variety of textile producers and suppliers, showed their most recent goods and innovative technologies, generating substantial attention from global buyers. Participating firms from the yarn, fabric, finished goods, and accessories industries showcased a diverse range of high-quality products, including cotton, polyester, blended yarns, wool carpets and specialty fabrics. 
Pakistan textile industry has long been recognized for its quality, competitiveness, and ability to satisfy the changing demands of the global marketplace.

Hussain Haider, Pakistan Consul General in Shanghai, told CEN at the expo that he was proud and optimistic about Pakistani textile companies strong involvement in the two major shows. He emphasized the importance of the Pakistani textile industry presence at the expo, stating that it reflected the country rich textile legacy as well as its commitment to innovation and quality. 

Pakistan textile industry has emerged as a leading exporter, generating $1.9 billion in monthly exports, consolidating its position as the largest industry in the country, the consul general of Pakistan said.
